The Best Way to Search For Lowest Price Solar Panels

With Federal government incentives now of 30% of the whole project for solar photovoltaic installations and many states also chipping in rebates of up to $2.50 per watt (that may well cover most of the price for the panels) more and more people start looking at the opportunity to install solar panels at their houses or businesses.

One of the best ways to shop for low price solar panels is to use Google Products search.

That's pretty easy except for if you first run it it will not necessarily by default give you exactly what you look for and not sorted by price. So here are a few tips.

Let's say you are looking for 175W poly-crystalline panels. Just to start with something you most likely know - got to google.com and simply type "solar panel 175W" (without the quote marks) in the Google search box and press the Google Search button.

What you will get as a result is something you must very familiar already - the Google search results.

What we need to concentrate on is a section in the results labeled:
Shopping results for solar panels

If you are seeing that section click on it (the text above is highlighted as a hyper-link) If you are not seeing that section at the top left section of the Google search page one of the links should be Shopping. If you see it click on it. If you are not seeing it either click on the "more" link at the top left area of the page and the Shopping link/option should be there.

Now you are on Google Products or also known as Google Shopping search page. To this page you can also come by searching on Google for "google products" or "google shopping".Now you are seeing a lot for results for the "solar panel 175W poly" search term that you initially entered. If for some reason you lost your search terms enter again in the search box (top left area of the page) "solar panel 175W poly" without the quotes and press Search Products.

Now you are very close to your goal. You most likely already are seeing a good selection of links to salable products in you interest but there are two issues still to resolve. Some of the search results are for products simply related to solar panels and simply mentioning about solar panels in their description not necessarily solar panels and not necessarily 175W. Another issue is the search results are not ordered by price.

To resolve the first problem click the "Advanced Product Search" link to the right of the search buttons. And in the form presented for "Occurrences Display products where my words occur " - select "in the product name" from the drop-down selection. That ensures that only products that have your search terms in the name will be displayed. Click the Search Products button.

Second, to get results sorted by price, from the top right area of the Google Product Search page for "Search by: " select "Price low to high" from the drop-down selection.

Now you should have a proper list of search results showing the solar panels that you look for ordered by price from the cheapest ones up.

To look for a different size, power rating of panels just change 175W to 180W or 185W or whatever the power rating is you want in the search box and press the Search Products button. Also change the word "poly" to "mono" if you want to search for monocrystalline (mono-crystalline) panels instead of polycrystalline (poly-crystalline).

There is not a good products search page yet that simply orders the solar photovoltaic panels by dollar per watt price. That wold be nice but there isn't one like that.

Here is actually a link you can directly use now to get you to the results we were talking about above. It will be for 175W poly so, again if you need different power rating just change the 175 to whatever you need it to be and the poly to mono if you want.
