Solar Industry Publication Picks the Most Area Efficient Solar Photovoltaic Panel

Recently SolarByTheWatt.com - the solar industry analysis and commentary publication -ran an analysis of the surface area efficiency of commercially available solar photovoltaic panels in terms of peak power per surface area - that is watts per square foot.

The most area efficient panel models identified were the 190W polycrystalline panels offered by SolarMaxDirect.Com .

The overall surface area efficiency of solar photovoltaic panels for mono- and poly- crystalline panels ranges between 12.20 to 13.53 W per square foot. While monocrystalline ones use cells that are more efficient they use cells with round corners which reduces the overall area efficiency of a panel back to the one displayed by polycrystalline ones. Polycrystalline use cells that are rectangular or square.
